Dairy farmers in Chhatisgarh get loans at 3 pc 
Raipur (PTI):. Chhattisgarh government has decided to provide loans of upto Rs 50,000 at three per cent interest rates to dairy farmers in the state. "Dairy farmers wanting to start a business would be provided loans upto Rs 50,000 at three per cent interest rates," Chief Minister Raman Singh told a delegation of the Chahttisgarh Pradesh Yadav Mahasabha (CPYM) here. This is the second major declaration by the state government after Singh took oath of office on December 12. On December 23, the state government had announced a bonus of Rs 220 to paddy farmers on every quintal of paddy sold at co-operative societies and Mandis. With this, the state government raised the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy to Rs 1120-1150 a quintal in the state. This announcement is likely to cost the government an additional burden of Rs 900 crore with the state targetting procurement of 40 lakh metric tonnes of paddy till January 30.
